There are a lot of words used to describe marriage. It's a partnership that requires communication and work. There are highs and lows, ups and downs. As we were filming Emily and Chris' ceremony father John touched on another aspect of marriage. He spoke about service and sacrifice.
Service and sacrifice seemed to be a fitting theme for Emily and Chris' film. You see Chris is an Army veteran who is no stranger to sacrifice. In fact, their wedding was held the weekend of the Louisiana Bicentennial Military Parade, which happened to be Veteran's Day weekend. This allowed most of Chris' military friends to be on hand for the wedding which was a wonderful touch. The combination of the parade, wedding and awesome reception created a recipe for an amazing film.
Another wonderful detail of the day was Chris and Emily's parting gift for all of their guests. Instead of favors they chose to make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project which helps aid injured service members. We thought this was an AWESOME and very thoughtful way to honor those in need. Just another reason why we are so excited to share Chris and Emily's story!
